Sapa welcomes the Rose Festival
Date05-05-2023In celebration of 120 years of tourism, Sa Pa collaborated with Sun Group in the Northwest region to organize the Rose Festival and the Sa Pa Northwest Cultural Carnaval with the theme “Sa Pa’s Dreamy Charm.
Visitors can admire hundreds of different rose varieties
The Fansipan Valley of Roses currently gathers about 300,000 rose bushes belonging to 150 varieties of roses, from climbing roses, and Sapa ancient roses to imported roses such as Monileux, Society, Abraham, Catalina, etc
According to the organizers, tens of thousands of fresh flowers will be used to create colorful layers on 14 horse-drawn carriages. From vintage cars, to electric cars and 20 bicycles filled with flowers. Throughout the Valley of Roses, visitors can also enjoy miniature scenes and creating many unique photo opportunities.
Unique cultural and artistic spaces
In addition, at the Rose Festival, visitors can witness and experience a range of activities with the unique Northwest cultural identity. Such as offering flower offerings to Buddha from the Valley of Roses to the sacred statue of A Di Da on the summit of Fansipan, cultural performances with Northwest influences. And parades from the Valley of Roses to the central streets of Sa Pa town.
Especially, the “Sa Pa’s Dreamy Charm” parade will take place over 3 days. From the central square of Sa Pa town to the central streets, featuring actors in traditional ethnic costumes such as Lao, Dao, Giay. During the parade, artists will also perform traditional dances, Giay’s fan dance, and bamboo dance.
